Extended Stakeholder Theory

Laszlo Zsolnai published a paper on “Extended Stakeholder Theory” in Society and Business Review (2006. No. 1, pp. 37–44.)

Zsolnai’s attempt is to create a normative redefinition of the “stakeholder” concept. Based on Hans Jonas’ theory of responsibility he argues that nature, society and future generations should be considered primordial stakeholders of business. He believes that the legitimacy and long-term success of business depend on the way business affects these primordial stakeholders.
